VUČKO TRAIL 2021 OFFICIAL RESULTS

Fifth Vučko Trail was held on Saturday, June 19 2021 on Bjelašnica with 642 competitors from 23 countries that competed on three courses, different in lengths and difficulty.

Winners of the toughest and most challenging, Red Course, 61 kilometers long, in the men’s and women’s competition were Eldin Hodzic from Croatia and Milusa Boskovic from Montenegro. It took them 7 hours 55 minutes and  9 hours  43 minutes, for this length and the 3,700 m altitude difference that had to be overcome. Milusa Bosković has held the Red Course record for women from before, and this year, on a significantly harder course than the previous editions of the race, she improved her result for almost half an hour.

Bravest 73 competitors opted to compete on Red Course, which led them across Bjelasnica, to the village of Lukomir, deep into the Rakitnica canyon, up to the ridge of Visocica mountain and across Umoljani, back to Bjelasnica. Leading over two mountains and through two municipalities, Trnovo in Bosnia and Konjic in Herzegovina, the Red Course symbolically connected these two regions, and in addition to a top adrenaline experience, it also provided runners with a view of the incredible landscapes of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Attractive Blue Course, 37 kilometers long, with a height difference of 1,800 m, gathered 186 competitors, and led them from Babino dol, through Dugo polje to Lukomir and back through Studeni potok and the villages of Umoljani, Elezovici and Lukavac to the finish line. The fastest on Blue Course were Jasmin Pajevic and Alma Alijagic.

Shortest, Green Course, 13 kilometers long with a height difference of 610 meters, had most competitors, a little more than 380. Fit for both recreational athletes and experienced runners, it gave the opportunity for begginers to have treir first trail experience and for serious competitors who prefer shorter and faster disciplines to give their best. Victory was taken by Zana Ibric and famous Bosnian runner Dzemo Jasarevic, who also set the track record with a time of 1:06:43.
